2026 Season Announcement

Nominations open January 1, 2026 for songs publicly released in 2025 by songwriters living in Athens-Clarke County or any contiguous county. Details about the nomination process will be shared at the event.

About the Awards

The Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Awards celebrate songwriting excellence in the Athens area and honor the legacy of Vic Chesnutt, whose work continues to inspire artists across generations.
